Aljomaih Automotive, the largest dealer of General Motors in KSA and the Middle East, is further evolving its Corporate Social Responsibility, most recently as a silver sponsor of the third Traffic Safety Forum & Expo, held in Sheraton Hotel Dammam from 23rd until 25th November under the title of “Youth and Traffic Safety”. That step is part of the company’s philosophy, which aims to raise awareness in society about the importance of safety in driving while adhering to traffic laws and regulations, in addition to catering to the needs of the disabled.
In that occasion, Sheikh Walid Aljomaih, Chief Operating Officer of Aljomaih Automotive, said, “We’ve always reiterated in both words and deeds that traffic safety is an intrinsic part of our company’s philosophy. After all, no matter how advanced our cars are, their contribution to safety is still compromised if put in the hands of drivers unaware of traffic rules and safety regulations. Our participation in the forum represents a continuation of our foundation principles, and an effective investment in individuals who drive society as whole rather than just cars.”
To this end, AAC launched a comprehensive two-week Corporate Social Responsibility campaign earlier this year, aimed at raising awareness in drivers about the importance of traffic rules and driving safety. That campaign reflected the company’s care about individuals in society, and encompassed advertorials in newspapers and external electronic billboards, in addition to the Internet and YouTube. Moreover, AAC played a crucial role in supporting the programs of the Ministry of Social Affairs, by providing especially equipped cars that suit the needs of the disabled.
